I have been drawing and painting ever since I could hold a pencil. I was introduced to pastels in grade school and enjoyed their subtlety. I painted a number of small illustrations in watercolours when I was in my teens, and introduced myself to oils in my early twenties.
I painted portraits and pictures for many people over the years but had to give it up twelve years ago because my eyesight was failing; I am in my late seventies. After cataract surgery, I was able to return to my art with more enthusiasm than ever. Recently, to my great enjoyment, I have re-discovered pastels, pencil drawing and watercolours and plan on drawing and painting as long as I am physically able to.
