I have had an interest in art and painting since I was very young. I pretty much retired from painting while raising my five children. I am now involved in an agency that has lead me back to my artistic roots. The Willow Community Support Services offers arts based workshops to individuals struggling with mental health based in St. Catharines. I have been given the opportunity to run small visual arts workshops and this has brought me back to my artistic roots.
I am self-taught. I enjoy painting in oils but have done some acrylic work and a little watercolour in my past. I enjoy creating landscapes/buildings as my subject matter.
I am a nature and animal lover. I am a lifelong learner, I have done pet sitting in Port Colborne under the name Happy Tails since 1996 and I graduated from the University of Waterloo last October with my Bachelor of Social Work degree. Recently I have been accepted into Niagara College for their Art and Design Foundations for September 2017. I am hoping to broaden my artistic scope using different mediums including courses in digital technology and photography.
I'm looking forward to this creative chapter in my life!
