Michelle Pope
Michelle Pope is a mixed media artist who loves to create artwork with pebbles, beach glass and driftwood that wash up on the shores of Lake Erie in Port Colborne. Instead of a trip to an art store her process begins with collecting beach fodder and then seeing its vision. The subjects of her works are often sailboats and light houses or anything with a coastal theme.
Her creative life began as a teenager working with clay as an apprentice for a professional potter. She has since continued to create with acrylics and watercolours on canvas, fabric and wood. Michelle has had success exhibiting her art in Niagara-on-the-Lake and currently at Niagara College. Her craft and vision of all things artful continues to evolve from her beautiful studio overlooking Reebs Bay. |
