AnnMarie has a passion for art, she calls her studio her "Happy Place". It's where she feels most at peace, where the rest of the world slips away and all there is left is the world she is creating. The world she brings to life on her canvas, or reclaimed fence board or Christmas ornament, whatever surface, and image, that has inspired her to paint that day is the surface you will find her focused on. "It's truly a sanctuary to just melt into what I am doing and leave the world outside my space."
Birds have become a great inspiration. There are so many in the backyard birdfeeders, hanging out in the pond and throughout the Niagara Region. On any given day you can find a range of birds, from colourful little song birds to the majestic soaring birds of prey, they are tremendous. AnnMarie also enjoys painting landscapes. We have so many beautiful landscapes all around us, capturing them on canvas is a fun and enjoyable challenge. |
