“Painting for me occupies a part of the brain allowing me to process my thoughts in a different light. I paint where I want to be, and it takes me there. It’s an escape to a calm and peaceful state of mind; not so much a physical destination, as it is a mood or sense of feeling that brings about positive emotions.” KLD
