Hazel Vacon Reinhart is an artist and art teacher affiliated with the Fort Erie Arts Council and the Niagara South Artist Association. She has been a practicing artist since her retirement from the Fort Erie Public Library where she served as the Children’s Services Coordinator for 26 years. Hazel paints predominantly with acrylics, but has recently returned to watercolours. She paints landscapes, florals and abstracts. After retiring, at her mother’s request, she started teaching art at Portal Village Retirement Home in Port Colborne and in the past two years, at the Fort Erie Arts Council. Hazel has displayed her works at the Niagara Pumphouse Arts Centre and in May, this year, will have a show along with Mary Friesen and Janet Montgomery at the Niagara Falls Public Library. Hazel has taken art courses at Niagara College, Brock University and at the Haliburton School of Fine Arts. The Group of Three has a show at the Niagara Falls Public Library Rosberg Gallery in May 2024.
