Janet Montgomery was born and raised in Niagara Falls, Ontario. Her interests and passions have always been about the beauty of nature and art. She worked as an Administrative Assistant for 20 years and then made the decision to turn her attention to more creative endeavors. A Floral Design course led to her opening her shop Tulip Tree Floral in Ridgeway, which she operated for 13 years. She is now fully engaged in creative pursuits such as painting in various mediums including acrylic, encaustic, pastel, watercolour and sculpting with clay and Paverpol. Her paintings are primarily abstract inspired by colour and texture with the desire to create art that conveys emotions such as peace, joy, harmony and energy.
