The studio tours will include any/all juried and accepted artists who are residents with studios open to the public in the areas of Wainfleet, Port Colborne and Fort Erie.
Members who do not have “open-to-the public spaces” are can be considered as guest artists. They can be accommodated by joining a fellow artist’s studio. Arrangements must be made by the artist seeking an exhibition space on the tour.
Niagara region artists that reside outside of the geographical boundaries of the tour can be juried as guest artists and be hosted at a qualifying studio location.
The studio tours will be promoted as one whole group.
Late additions (e.g. new members that join the tour(s) after the deadline) will not have a place on the printed brochure/map, but every effort will be made to include them in all online advertising.
Membership applications are accepted year-round and the website will be updated accordingly.
Lawn signs are purchased in addition to new/renewal membership fees (for year-round promotion and studio tours). Lawn signs may NOT be displayed if membership and studio tour fees have not been paid by the deadline for that membership year.
Large flags may be borrowed for tour. Artist is responsible for any damages to the flag and will reimburse South Niagara Artist the replacement cost of the flag if damages occur.
South Niagara Artists is not responsible for any damages, unforseen injury or accident that may occur to artists' studios or property during the tour weekend.
It is the responsibility of all tour artists to ensure that their property, studio, products and displays are safe for the public
It is the responsibility of all tour artists to carry appropriate property/liability insurance
Retail locations are not permitted to participate on the tour, this includes stores and galleries whereas their primary function is not an individual artist’s working studio.
Selling crafts/food/other objects not included in the jury process is against studio tour policies and prohibited.
If an artist's studio is in a gallery (or a gallery is attached to the studio), the artist’s name will be featured on the brochure and website profile page.
Pop-up studio shops in retail spaces are not in the spirit of a “studio tour” and not permitted.
Last minute changes to the brochure are not possible (see brochure deadline on membership information page).
Changes to the website are discouraged the month prior to the tours.
Extenuating circumstances whereas an artist has a change of tour location or needs to close for the tour must be expressed by email and AS SOON AS POSSIBLE so courtesy notices can be produced and distributed to the other participating studios.
Refunds will NOT be granted for tour participation cancellations or changes.
