Born in Welland, now living in Port Colborne after a career teaching fine art and design, Karon creates unique pieces of jewellery using precious metals, natural materials, crystal and glass. Lake Erie beach glass has been a popular staple of her work. She especially enjoys working with individuals to create a piece that meets the client's requirements while satisfying her own design aesthetic. "Bejewelled" miniature Christmas trees are also done in her home studio and they have become collectors' items over many years.Since 2008 Karon has spent most Friday mornings between mid April and December at the Port Colborne Makers' Market in the Guild Hall on Charlotte Street. You would enjoy a visit to her and the other artists and artisans who are there each week.
