Kelly Langley Davies
Kelly Langley Davies was born and raised on the south coast of Ontario’s Niagara Region where she currently resides. Kelly divides her time between Port Colborne and Toronto after spending many years in the UK where she studied Visual Arts at Llandrillo College on the north coast of Wales. Her work which is primarily acrylic on canvas includes an extensive catalogue of murals, and can be found in homes and galleries throughout Ontario the US, and Wales. Although her work is largely abstract, inspiration is almost always found in the shapes, patterns, and colours of nature.
Kelly Langley Davies is the owner/director of Small Hands Studio Art Workshops for Children which she began over ten years ago. “Painting for me occupies a part of the brain allowing me to process my thoughts in a different light. I paint where I want to be, and it takes me there. It’s an escape to a calm and peaceful state of mind; not so much a physical destination, as it is a mood or sense of feeling that brings about positive emotions.” KLD |
